1937 Komsomol Songbook with Sheet Music

This is "Вперед, заре навстречу" (Forward, Towards the Dawn), a 1937 Komsomol songbook from Baku Worker's Theater. The title track "Молодая гвардия" (Young Guard) was written by Alexander Bezymensky, a revolutionary poet who served on the Komsomol Central Committee from its first congress in 1918.

Inside you'll find full sheet music, Russian lyrics, and bold constructivist illustrations of workers and industrial machinery. The cover features two revolutionary soldiers with rifles in striking red and black. Pure 1930s Soviet graphic design.
