This is issue #10 of Krokodil (Крокодил), the Soviet Union's legendary satirical magazine. The front page shows a dense collage of cartoons and satirical advertisements mocking bureaucracy and everyday Soviet absurdities. The back features a full-page political cartoon depicting American capitalists and the Pentagon, typical Cold War satire.
Krokodil was published from 1922 to 1991 and was given unusual freedom to lampoon both domestic and foreign targets. The magazine attracted the USSR's best satirical artists and reached a circulation of 6.5 million at its peak. This issue showcases both internal Soviet humor and anti-Western propaganda.
Good vintage condition. Pages show age-appropriate yellowing. Some edge wear and minor creasing. All pages intact with clear illustrations. Typical aging for Soviet-era paper stock.
