A Soviet Чайка ladies' watch built around six large round cabochon links of dendritic agate — cream and white stone threaded with dark manganese inclusions that branch like bare trees or ink in water, each set in a rope-twist gold-tone bezel. The round case matches the link diameter, making the bracelet and watch read as a single unbroken chain of circles. The dial is two-tone: a gold outer ring with Roman numerals and Чайка branding, a deep burgundy inner disc, silver hands. Made at the Uglich Watch Factory, 1970s-80s.
Dendritic agate — named for the Greek word for tree — was a favored material in Soviet decorative stone production, quarried from Ural deposits and used everywhere from watch bracelets to paperweights. Each stone is unique; no two have the same branching pattern. This bracelet has six of them.
Fair to good vintage condition. Case shows corrosion and wear at the lugs and bracelet connectors. Dial has light oxidation around the outer ring. Stone links intact with no chips. Recently serviced, running.
