This is a Soviet Poljot Strela chronograph with an estimated 36-38mm stainless steel case, featuring a striking blue dial with silver subdials and orange chronograph hand. Notably, this rare variant displays a standalone red star at 12 o'clock, a distinctive marking typically found on watches issued to Soviet Army officials. The watch houses the manual-wind column-wheel caliber 3017, derived from Swiss Venus 150/152 movements. Black leather strap included. Serviced and tested.
The Strela (Стрела, meaning "arrow") became legendary when cosmonaut Alexei Leonov wore one during the first spacewalk in 1965 on the Voskhod 2 mission, making it the first chronograph in open space. Originally produced for the Soviet Air Force starting in 1959, these watches later became available under Poljot branding after the factory's 1964 renaming.
Good vintage condition. Case shows normal wear with minor scratches. Crystal clear. Dial in excellent condition with vivid blue color. Chronograph functions operational. Leather strap is replacement. Serviced and tested.
