A Kiev Vega 2 subminiature camera featuring the distinctive "Вега 2" branding with decorative star and satellite engravings on the brushed aluminum body. This upgraded model sports an Industar M 3.5/23 lens (visible on top plate) with shutter speeds from 30 to 200 and weather symbol settings around the lens ring. The sliding mechanism extends to reveal a textured black grip section with built-in light meter window and frame counter.
The Vega 2, produced at Kiev's Arsenal factory in the mid-1960s, improved on the original with a selenium light meter and faster lens. The space-themed engravings reflect Soviet pride in the Vega program and Sputnik era. These pocket cameras were genuine consumer products, though their spy-movie aesthetics have made them collector favorites in the West.
Good vintage condition. Body shows scratches and wear marks on aluminum surfaces. Black plastic grip section intact. Light meter untested. Mechanical components appear functional. Sold as collector's item; functionality not guaranteed.
