1985 Ogonyok Magazine Issue #22

This is issue #22 of Ogonyok (Огонёк), the Soviet Union's most influential illustrated weekly, published in May 1985. Just months before Vitaly Korotich transformed it into the flagship of glasnost. The cover features a young Pioneer with colorful children's artwork.

Inside you'll find photo essays on Soviet life, agricultural workers, and traditional ethnic clothing from Soviet republics. Ogonyok was the USSR's equivalent of LIFE magazine, attracting the best Soviet photographers.

Good vintage condition. Cover shows moderate edge wear and corner creasing. Some spine wear. Interior pages clean with minor yellowing. All pages intact and binding solid.
