1949 Smena Auto Factory Magazine

This is issue #22 of Smena (Смена) from 1949, the Soviet Union's most popular youth magazine. The cover shows women factory workers inspecting automobiles on an assembly line, celebrating post-war industrial reconstruction. The back features another Soviet Navy cruiser with sheet music "На Крейсере Молотов" (On the Cruiser Molotov). Inside spreads cover International Students Day with mass rally photography.

Smena was published by Komsomol and reached over 3 million copies by the 1980s. This 1949 issue reflects the immediate post-WWII period's dual focus on industrial labor mobilization and military pride, promoting socialist values and international youth solidarity.

Good vintage condition. Pages show moderate yellowing and some staining, particularly on back page. Moderate edge wear and creasing. All pages intact with clear photography and text.
